There are four seat types you can choose from: “Scheduling”, “Meet” (formerly known as “Business”), "Collaborator", "Viewer". You can select them in teammates.

Scheduling seat

The scheduling seat is perfect for users or companies who want to focus on improving their scheduling and lead distribution workflows.

Highlights of our Scheduling product:

  • Manage booking pages for yourself and your team

  • Create routing forms to distribute leads according to your own criteria

  • Schedule meetings for yourself and your team members

  • Setup automatic meeting reminders

  • Sync meeting information to your CRM system

  • Host meetings with our integrated platforms: Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams

Meet seat

By having the Meet seat, you gain complete access to the entire Demodesk platform, which includes Scheduling and video conferencing capabilities among others.

Additional highlights to the Scheduling offering include:

  • Demodesk conferencing including GDPR-compliant recording

  • Demodesk virtual browser which allows frictionless content sharing and an interactive meeting experience

  • Playbooks to structure your meetings

  • Battlecards to handle objections with ease

  • Shadowing meetings

  • Insights about your team’s meetings

  • Enhanced CRM syncing with Demodesk conferencing information

Collaborator seat

The Collaborator seat is ideal for leadership and administrative staff who may not require all Scheduling and Meet features but wish to shadow meetings, access Demodesk insights, and manage Demodesk settings (if admin rights are granted).

Viewer seat

A viewer is a free seat and can only engage with recordings. They have the capability to search for recordings using transcripts and watch them. Nonetheless, they are not permitted to leave comments, rate the recordings, or make any other change to them.

FAQs

What happens if I switch from “Meet” to “Scheduling” seat?

If you switch from “Meet” to “Scheduling” seat, you will only be able to access the scheduling product-related features listed above. Once you switch back to “Meet” you will have full access again. No data will be lost if you switch licenses.

Please be aware that you cannot hold Demodesk online meetings anymore.

If you have future meetings with Demodesk conferencing as a location, we ask you before switching the license if you want to migrate those to a new meeting location as e.g. Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams.

What happens to my future meetings with Demodesk conferencing when I switch from “Meet” to “Scheduling” seat?

If you have future meetings with Demodesk conferencing as a location, we ask you before switching the license if you want to migrate those to a new meeting location as e.g. Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams. Please make sure to set up your new conferencing option before switching the license.

We also indicate in the meetings overview which meetings require a location update.

What happens to my Demodesk conferencing meeting types when I switch from “Meet” to “Scheduling” seat?

We indicate in the meeting types overview which meeting types need an update because their location is not valid anymore. You can simply update the location with a valid one and they will work again!

What happens when I am part of a meeting type with Demodesk as conferencing option but only have a Scheduling seat?

You cannot be a host of Demodesk conferencing meetings anymore, therefore you will be disabled as a team member within the respective meeting type. Also, your booking link for that meeting type will not work anymore.

As soon as you have a Meet seat again, you will be enabled again and everything will work as before.

Meanwhile, you can set up meeting types with a different conferencing option (e.g. Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams) and use the respective booking link.

What happens to my Playbooks and Battlecards once I switch from “Meet” to “Scheduling” seat?

You won’t be able to access those anymore but no worries: they are not deleted. If you decide to switch back to “Meet” you can access them again - no work will be lost!

Can I still join Demodesk meetings as a participant if I only have a “Scheduling” seat?

Yes, you can! You cannot be the host of a Demodesk meeting but of course you can be a participant.

Which meetings will appear on my Meetings dashboard?

In general, all meetings you host that were scheduled with Demodesk (e.g. via the Scheduler, the booking links or via the Chrome extension) appear on your Meetings dashboard.

What happens if I switch from “Scheduling” to “Meet” seat?

You will have access to many more exciting features. Please see the highlights of the full Demodesk license above.
