Step 1: Check your hardware
Make sure your microphone, camera, and speakers are plugged in to your computer and turned on (microphone isn’t muted). If you connect any of your hardware using USB, check if you need to install software from the device manufacturer.
Make sure other programs on your computer aren’t using your microphone, camera, or speakers.
Step 2: Check your settings
Click on the bottom right corner - go to audio video settings
Make sure the correct device is selected for each setting (change it using the Down arrow)
🎥 Camera : If your camera is working, you’ll see your video.
🎤 Microphone : To test your microphone, speak out and see if the volume indicator is moving.
🎧 Speakers : To test your speakers, click Test.
Step 3: Browser Permissions
Demodesk works with almost every browser currently in use. However, if you wish to set up a webcam connection or share the customers' local screen, not all browsers are equally suitable.
To profit from all functionalities of Demodesk, we encourage our users to use Chrome or Firefox in their respective latest versions. Please make sure you have given the Browser Permissions in order to access your microphone and Webcam.
Step 4: Internet connection
An unstable internet connection can lead to problems in the audio conferencing such as lags or noise. To ensure the best experience, we recommend to dial in with your phone if your internet speed is slow.
