Zoom Notetaker integration

Quick guide to connect your Zoom account, to allow Demodesk to send the notetaker to your Zoom meetings

The Demodesk and Zoom integration is currently under development. If you are reading this, the feature might not be live at this moment. Contact us if you are interested on a more specific updates about this.

In this guide we will cover:

Installation

  1. Login into your Demodesk account and visit your Connections page.

  2. Scroll down to the Video conferencing section

  3. Click the Connect button for Zoom, to authenticate and connect. You will be presented with an authorization screen, asking you to grant permission to Demodesk for accessing your Zoom account. You should click Allow.

  4. Congratulations! You are done πŸŽ‰

Usage

You might be already familiarised with how the Demodesk importer works, but in a gist, Demodesk uses your Calendar to look into your events, and based on your settings send the notetaker to your online meetings.

So to effective use your newly installed integration you should:

  1. Make sure your Calendar is connected and the Zoom integration is installed

  2. Add events in your calendar, that have an specified Zoom url as a location (this would simply be the same events that are typically used to invite your customers to your meetings).

Alternatively, you can always just manually add a meeting, by copying the invitation link in Zoom.

That's it! πŸŽ‰ Demodesk will handle the rest, and the Notetaker will automatically join the meeting at the start time. The resulting recording will be automatically be transcribed and saved to your Demodesk dashboard.

Uninstallation

  1. Login into your Demodesk account and visit your Connections page.

  2. Scroll down to the Video conferencing section and click disconnect
