For the customers, this is different, as they could be joining on other browsers as well.
However, if you wish to set up a webcam connection or share the customers' local screen, not all browsers are equally suitable. Here is a quick overview of what works:
The reason why not all browsers allow to share the webcam or the local desktop is the way the sharing protocols are set up: They rely on WebSockets to establish and maintain the connection which is not available in all browsers.
Local Desktop sharing requires WebRTC and Desktop media to work, which is available in Firefox starting Version 66 and in Chrome starting Version 72.
