We designed this guide to provide you with a checklist for your first steps in Demodesk after you received an invite from your team. We added all kinds of resources such as help center articles, product tours, and videos to guide you. Make sure to save this treasure as a bookmark, so you can check the resources whenever any questions come up.
The Article consists of 2 parts:
Are you ready to book some demos?
The sections guide you with tasks, detailed content, videos, and interactive tours to make your journey fun and efficient! Let's start:
1. Setup your Demodesk Account
It might not be too exciting but the setup is a key step for a successful Demodesk experience.
Task 1: Connect your Google/Outlook account
You can schedule events, send out calendar invites, and email invites from Demodesk. In order to ensure everything works as intended, connect your account.
Task 2: Connect your CRM
Important: If you do not work with Salesforce, Pipedrive, or Hubspot, or if your team does not yet work with the Integration, skip this task.
With our CRM integrations, you can make sure that the CRM is always up to date and that all customer interactions are logged.
Task 3: Update your Profile
The profile information is used in the emails and calendar invites send from Demodesk (especially in the email signature). Moreover, we recommend uploading a profile picture. This will show up if the customer schedules a call and enters a meeting.
Task 4: Check your Default Setup
What's an Event type? Event Types are templates for the different kinds of Meetings you are hosting. The event type is connected to a standardized calendar invitation, a standardized email invitation, reminder emails, and a booking link (a link that allows the customer to book a call on their own).
If you schedule a meeting in Demodesk the default event type is selected by default.
2. How to schedule a Demodesk meeting
Within this section, we will outline two ways on how to schedule a Demodesk Meeting. You will learn in which case the one or the other way of scheduling makes sense.
Precondition: In order to schedule Meetings via Demodesk you need to connect your Google/Outlook account (see section 1, task 1)
1. Schedule a meeting via Demodesk
You want to schedule a Demo with a customer while talking to him on the phone or texting with him via mail? The scheduling functionality in Demodesk is powerful. It is the perfect place for SDRs to book Demos for Account Executives.
If you use HubSpot or Salesforce as a CRM you can directly schedule out of the CRM:
2. Schedule a meeting via a Demodesk booking link
You are exhausted from the back and forth needed to schedule an appointment with a customer or prospect? Booking links allow your customers and prospects to pick a date and time in your calendar and schedule a meeting with your team.
